This Association featured in two news items that I read one after the other in this week's Gazette, so I Googled them and found their website: http://www.mendip.org.uk/templates/t01.asp?site=109

They say they were founded in 2000, when I was away in Bristol, so I missed the start. Anyhow, they clearly are a Good Thing. They brought the authorities' attention to the Pound Shop pavement obstruction noted in my last article, and they have provided special reflective badges or tags to Hindhayes children to help keep them safe in the dark winter mornings and afternoons. I see from Crispin School newsletter that they too have been given the safety tags by this Association.

Good for them.
