Street High Street has been looking cheerful for weeks now, but it's hard to get a photo that does the lights justice. I saw the high street in Cookham village on Christmas Day and was very struck by their lighting design. It was simply a co-ordinated row of white bulbs stretching, at roughly the same height, on both sides of the road from one end of the shops to the other. Different, and striking. An idea for our Street shopkeepers next year, perhaps.
