I heard an amazing tale this afternoon, while talking to a teacher at Elmhurst.

Apparently her husband's ancestor fought in the Battle of Trafalgar as a young teenager (if such a thing existed then). He went on to be an admiral, and married three times. Of his 22 children, one daughter lived into her nineties, and used to attend Trafalger Day dinners as late as the 1950s.

When people asked her what her connection was, they were astounded to learn that her father had fought in the battle, 150 years before.
