I hear that plans are being laid for another Children's Fest in the half term of the summer term. The theme is one close to me heart, the Romans. There could be a Roman-type market place, and activities like making a real mosaic. So if you have young children, don't arrange to go away during the May half term - the Bank Holiday Monday and the two days following.

And apparently Strode College musicians are preparing to give not one but two concerts in the Parish Church the previous week. That's the week of the Civic Ceremony in the Strode Theatre. Perhaps the ten days between 22nd May and 31st May should be a festival time with the emphasis on our young people.
