Let's put it on record: December 1st is the Big Sing in Street.



At a recent meeting of society and organisation representatives it was agreed that the first day of December should be the time for an innovation: a town Christmas tree - it's to be outside the United Reformed Church, next to Living Homes - with the lights switched on with the singing of carols in the open air.



A good bit of thought went into the timing, and we decided on 7 p.m., still early enough for children to join in.
