I talked to one of the builders earlier in the year about the stone they were using to make these two sitting enclosures, and he told me it was indeed blue lias from a quarry not far away. I think the designer has got it just right. The merry-go-round has moved a little to make room for these areas, and the areas themselves allow easy circulation around them, and give a feeling of relaxation.
